Stripe Identity is optional identity verification handled by Stripe. On Deployed Works it is an account trust signal only.

Current cost and access

• Provider launch copy states a one-off £1.25 cost at cost.
• The verification flow is handled by Stripe Identity.
• It is not required to create a provider account, create a capability profile or offer capability.
• The current Academy implementation requires Stripe Identity before using AI Academy Coach.

What it does not prove

• It does not verify skill.
• It does not verify suitability for a buyer brief.
• It does not prove quality, availability, delivery performance or commercial fit.
• It should not be described as a ranking boost or automated shortlist signal.

When to consider it

Consider verification if identity confidence would reduce buyer hesitation or if you want access to AI Academy Coach. If you are not ready, you can still complete and publish a provider profile without it.
