About Deployed Works

Built around the outcome and the capability needed to deliver it.

Deployed Works exists because modern teams often need deployable capability before they need permanent internal capacity.

The platform starts with work that needs doing, then helps organisations and providers create clearer deployment conversations through structured briefs, capability profiles and human-reviewed fit signals.

It begins with trusted professionals, consultants, contractors, fractional leaders and specialist teams. The structure is designed to grow as capability itself changes.

Founder origin

Why this needed to exist

Mark Nicoll built Deployed Works out of a structural problem, not a capability gap. Across the next two years of work on multiple ventures, the work is there and the ability to do it is there. What isn't there is a sensible way to resource variable, scoped, often experimental work without building permanent structure around it.

A predefined provider type can narrow the solution too early. The better starting point is the result required, the constraints around it and the evidence that will show it worked.

Agentic tooling changes the calculation. An agent connected through MCP needs a clearly scoped task and access to the right context. Service-as-software goes further still: the capability can be called directly. Different outcomes can now be served by different combinations of human and digital capability.

That's the premise Deployed Works is built on. It routes scoped work across the capability spectrum: human providers, specialist teams, SaaS, AI services and combinations that fit the accepted route.

The briefing is the product.

Deployed Works starts by describing the work precisely enough to route it to the right capability, whoever or whatever is delivering it.

The path

One platform for the capability organisations need next.

Future capability types are roadmap direction, not promised launch inventory.

First deployment

Today

Today, Deployed Works helps organisations access experienced providers, consultants and specialist teams wherever capability is needed.

The focus is trusted capability, not endless listings. Context, communication, availability, proof and fit all matter.

Organisations describe the outcome first, then choose what form of capability to deploy.

Broader capability

Tomorrow

As organisations become increasingly hybrid, capability won't come from people alone.

Some work may eventually be delivered by specialist service providers, software, automation or autonomous systems.

Our platform is designed from the beginning to support that transition without forcing organisations to adopt entirely new ways of working.

The interface stays the same. The capability evolves.

Blended workforce

The Future

We believe every organisation will eventually operate a blended workforce.

Finding, verifying, deploying and managing that capability should happen through a single platform.

That's the future we're building towards.

  • People.
  • Software capability.
  • Specialist teams.
  • Autonomous services.

How the product thinks

Start with the work. Make capability legible.

Outcome first

The outcome determines the route

Many modern capability gaps are scoped, urgent, specialist or experimental. Deployed Works starts with the result required, assesses possible delivery routes and asks the buyer to choose a route before matching begins.

Evidence-backed Passports

Capability Passports show what can be deployed

Passports show outcomes, proof, tools, availability, boundaries and commercial models. Buyers can understand usable capability and the evidence behind it.

Fit, not magic

Explainable fit, human review

Deployed Works compares structured buyer briefs with structured capability profiles to surface fit indicators, proof gaps and review actions. Fit indicators are signals. People still decide.

The thesis

Capability is changing.

The platform starts with trusted professionals because that is the real commercial problem today. The model is built so future forms of deployable capability can use the same operating surface.

Deploy today

  • Independent professionals
  • Contractors
  • Fractional leaders
  • Specialist teams
  • Consultancies

Coming next

  • Verified digital capability
  • Autonomous services

Future capability types are roadmap direction, not promised launch inventory.

Our principles

How we build.

Capability first

We think about the work that needs to be done before deciding who or what is best placed to do it.

Trust matters

Capability only creates value when organisations have confidence in deploying it.

Build from reality

We solve real deployment problems today while preparing for the workforce of tomorrow.

Quietly useful

We value dependable products over unnecessary complexity. Technology should reduce friction, not create it.

The people of Deployed Works

Buyers, providers and vendors build trust through the outcomes they complete.

Real capability becomes easier to trust when the people and evidence stay visible.
