Where AI may assist, where humans remain responsible, and why AI does not make hiring decisions.

1. Our position
Deployed Works is a capability marketplace.
AI may assist parts of the Platform over time, but AI does not make hiring decisions, employment decisions or final engagement decisions.
Capability Consumers and Capability Providers remain responsible for their own decisions.
2. Where AI may assist
AI or automated systems may help with:
- search;
- ranking;
- matching suggestions;
- summarising profiles or briefs;
- detecting spam or suspicious activity;
- improving admin workflows;
- helping Users draft clearer content.
Features may change over time. This statement should be updated when AI features materially change.
3. Recommendations
Recommendations are suggestions, not decisions.
A recommendation does not mean a Capability Provider is guaranteed suitable, verified, available or legally appropriate for a particular engagement.
A recommendation does not mean a Capability Consumer must contact, shortlist, reject or engage anyone.
4. Search and ranking
Search and ranking may consider information such as:
- profile content;
- brief content;
- skills and sectors;
- location or timezone;
- availability;
- status of listings or applications;
- trust and safety signals;
- Platform quality signals.
We should avoid using sensitive personal data for ranking unless there is a clear, lawful and documented reason.
5. Human responsibility
Humans remain responsible for:
- deciding what capability they need;
- deciding whether to offer capability;
- checking qualifications, suitability and references;
- assessing legal, tax, employment or immigration requirements;
- entering into contracts;
- making final hiring, engagement or procurement decisions.
6. Limitations
AI and automated systems can be wrong, incomplete or biased.
They may misunderstand context, miss relevant information, over-prioritise certain signals or produce poor suggestions.
Users should not rely only on AI-generated or automated outputs.
7. Appeals and concerns
If a User believes a recommendation, ranking, moderation action or automated process has caused unfairness or error, they can contact: trust@deployed.works
We may review concerns manually where appropriate.
8. No employment decision automation
The Platform does not use AI to make final employment or hiring decisions.
Capability Consumers must make their own decisions and comply with any legal obligations that apply to their use of AI, automation or decision-support tools.
